A documentary by Mohammed Soudani
2012; o.v. French; sbt. Italian; 5 min
Synopsis
“Mr. President, a certain Rousseau is defending the insurgents.”
Arab Spring, 2012. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 1712. Time collapses, and harsh reality, tainted by the surreal, plunges an eighteenth-century thinker into the everyday life of the third millennium. Dust, blood, battle, oppression. A single thought. Who holds the power? Puppets. Figureheads. Presidents deserving of a prize: the Golden Shoe. But one is not enough.
