Synopsis

From different backgrounds, ten young women and men filmmakers create an equal number of eclectic and compelling portraits of communities, ranging from the most secluded to those most emblematic of a world in rapid transformation. Through forward-looking perspectives, their characters explore coexistence, boundaries, otherness, commitment, and the diversity of possible futures. Whether emerging talents, former students of film schools, or leading figures of a new generation of filmmakers, they are all driven by a deep desire to listen to the voices of today in order to shape their visions of contemporary society.

LE PIÙ LUNGHE ANTENNE – Agnese Làposi

A young poet organizes poetry slams. In his daily life, between surprising performances and mysterious encounters, poetry becomes part of everyday existence.

VEVERICE – Milly Miljković

Vladi is a young Serbian folk dance choreographer. The pandemic forces a halt to rehearsals and the dance group falls apart. Working tirelessly, Vladi tries to bring it back together in order to preserve and pass on this traditional dance.

NIDA – Basil Da Cunha

Nidonite is a young and outspoken Instagrammer. She feels truly at ease only within her biker community, where she can finally be herself.

AVA – Youssef Youssef

Ava has recently decided to come out as transgender. With gentleness and virtuosity, she invites us to discover her world. A painter by day and a drag queen by night, her creativity knows no bounds.

VOLATILI – Elisa Gomez Alvarez

For the opening of the season, Clark (17) builds his new drone. Through him, we discover the universe of FPV (First Person View) pilots and their mission to fly freely.

GIOVENTÙ! – Laura Morales

Through the portrait of Alicia and her community, the film subtly bears witness to a feminist story, and above all to the desire to pass on personal commitment to future generations. Alicia oscillates between the wish to preserve traditions and the determination to challenge the established order.

UN MONDE PARFAIT – Wendy Pillonel

Giulia is the smallest in her class and is bullied every day by her classmates. Through workshops by l’Académie des Libres Penseurs, led by Brandy Butler, her anger finds an outlet and gives way to the dream of a different world.

SENZA LIMITI – Sean Wirz

Moha, a nineteen-year-old Afghan woman, sought refuge in Switzerland with her family five years ago. Thanks to dance workshops organized by the association Bernvenuto, she met friends and began to realize her dreams. Despite the difficulties she faces, Moha never gives up.
