Synopsis

“Miraggio” follows five refugees from West Africa after their arrival in Italy, observing them throughout their odyssey of many years of waiting marked by emptiness. From the protagonists’ reflections, a single common thread emerges: the desire for a better life, the swift disillusionment, and, not least, the homeland left behind.
