Synopsis

An ordinary day of justice in a large Italian courthouse. At the center, in the heart of the building, a hearing takes place: in the dock sits a young robber and the gas station attendant who, having just been robbed, reacted, fired a shot, and killed the other — a very young accomplice. There is ritual, there is language, there are robes. Interrogations, evidence, witnesses. But we also see (or perhaps above all) what lies outside: the corridors, the offices, the everyday flow of people through the courthouse, the noise, the disorder. The friends of the defendants and the victims wait outside.
