Synopsis
Based on the renowned novel by Lev Tolstoj, “The Kreutzer’s Sonata”, the film tells of the circumstances that lead a young man, Andrea, to kill his wife Antonia, a famous pianist who gave up her artistic career for love.
In a major international airport, grounded by a snow storm, Andrea, having served a portion of his sentence in a Swiss asylum for the criminally insane, is travelling to the United States, where he will see his children for the first time since he killed his wife. He tells his troubled story to a previously unknown fellow traveller.
