Synopsis
The small town of Bobo-Dioulasso (cultural capital of Burkina Faso) sees its tranquility disrupted from top to bottom by the cardboard movie projector, one of the many toys that children make with great ingenuity.
Inspired by the films “CRIN BLANC” and “LE BALLON ROUGE” (by Albert LAMORISSE) shown at a school run by the White Fathers, the children turn away from their usual games to prolong, in their own way, in the working-class neighborhoods of the city, these films that have moved and fascinated them so much.
Using a cardboard box as a projector, a long strip of paper (film) with cut-out drawings, and a white sheet stretched over a clothesline, a miraculous event occurs during the children’s film screening.
