ARIAFERMA is a Tempesta production with RAI Cinema in co-production with Amka Films Productions and RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera.
The film is set in a prison that is being decommissioned, where only a few officers and a handful of inmates are left. The small group of inmates wait to be transferred to a new prison, but the day-after-day wait leads them to give less and less importance to the rules, which seem to become valueless. The prisoners find themselves forming a new community, albeit a very fragile one…
The film was selected for the Venice Film Festival 2021 and had its Swiss premiere at Castellinaria Film Festival 2021.
